At Costa Cruises, we believe that motivation and challenges create passionate people, and passion makes the difference. We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join our Revenue Management Department at the Company’s headquarter in Genoa – Italy.

JOB PURPOSE

  • To manage the pricing strategy and inventory of up to two ships with the objective of maximizing the assigned ships’ revenues and occupancy.
  • Based on in-depth analysis of demand and supply and the management of a pricing optimization tool, decides on pricing levels, promotion and inventory management and contributes to the definition of Costa Revenue Management and Pricing Strategy.
  • To mentor Analysts helping to increase team capabilities and effectiveness.
  • The position reports to the Head of Revenue Management of Big Ships.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Defining and implementing optimal pricing positioning for Costa’s product across world-wide markets and available sales channels
  • Analysing and challenging the demand forecast output of the Costa Pricing Optimization tool
  • Managing the demand trend through price increases and promotion on customer segments
  • Defining allocation of cabins and seats capacity across different itineraries and products
  • Contributing to the financial revenue forecast process
  • Interacting on a daily basis with Costa’s Sales offices world-wide

Job Requirements

  • Quantitative degree (Economics, Engineering or other degrees with significant numerical and analytical background)
  • At least four years of experience in pricing and revenue management or in a highly analytical role within Sales and Marketing in an international environment
  • Proven analytical skills: full ownership of data sources and of business needs to provide analyses with impactful outputs
  • Proven ability to manipulate large amounts of data: advanced Excel is required, VBA and SQL a plus
  • Natural leader with the ability to engage and inspire people
  • Solid financial acumen and commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to succeed in a highly dynamic and complex environment and to oversee multiple projects and task simultaneously ensuring deadlines are met
  • Results-oriented, analytical mindset
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken Italiand and English. Other languages will be considered as a plus.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the following languages is required: English, Italian
