VP, Guest Sales and Service for our Celebrity Cruises brand
Position Summary:
The VP of Guest Sales & Services is responsible for to oversee and deliver the profitable growth of direct sales channels through Consumer Outreach, One Touch, Loyalty, Web, Vacations, Onboard Future Sales and Charters. Provides leadership in the management and execution of all the above areas and works with them to achieve Celebrity Company sales goals. This executive will develop and implement strategic and tactical plans and initiatives for all direct channels areas. This position provides direction, coaching, support and evaluations to direct sales channels. Works extensively with Celebrity Marketing groups to develop lead sources.
Responsibilities:
- Drives profitable growth of all direct sales channels through Consumer Outreach, One Touch, Loyalty, Web, Vacations, Onboard Future Sales and Charters by using strong analytical and fact based approach.
- Designs the future of direct sales channels by creating a vision that drives strategies to achieve profitable objectives.
- Sets strategic initiatives for all direct sales channels with particular focus on revenue growth.
- Leads with passion, drive and energy to inspire and motivate all direct channel teams with a roadmap to achieve all KPIs.
- Works with the Marketing groups to develop lead sources and direct traffic to this channel to increase revenue growth and drive guest engagement .
- Tracks and measures direct sales channels effectiveness and communicate to Sr. Management.
- Develops the annual and strategic business plans of all direct sales channels.
- Works with cross-functional departments to insure execution of goals.
- Develops and implements compensation programs that drive expected behaviors and enhance profitability.
- Tracks and measures consumer buying habits and adjusts model to accommodate.
- Ensures consumer satisfaction with all direct channels.
- Works with IT to ensure system developments and enhancements meet business needs.
- Model statesmanship and represent the company at various industry events and media.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field required, MBA a plus.
- 10-15 years senior management experience in positions of increasing responsibility and demonstrated results
- Product, branding and sales experience required
- Travel 15%
Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive direct sales channels management experience.
- Financial acumen and ability to manage very significant revenue and distribution costs
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, presentation and listening skills, including the ability to adjust style to effectively interact with external customers as well as internal staff and executive management.
- Initiative combined with creative and innovative entrepreneurial skills that allow the individual to identify and act on opportunities that will build the business.
- Strong inter-functional leadership skills and ability to drive change.
- Experience in Change Management
- Ability to coach and develop a team of professionals. Includes providing the appropriate level of direction, enabling others to succeed, and providing open and timely informal and formal feedback.
- High level of understanding of leading edge industry initiatives and ability to lead a team in the implementation of those initiatives with customers.
- Ability to achieve results within budget and target deadlines.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning skills including the ability to anticipate trends, situations or changing market conditions and take appropriate action on a timely basis.
- Sales skills including negotiation account management, account penetration and strategic selling.
- Marketing skills including custom product and package development, brand positioning and strategy.
- Ability to grasp/learn complex concepts quickly and independently.
- Ability to develop and implement strategy for unique business opportunities.
- A combination of the completion of a significant amount of experience in a travel-related setting is desirable.
