Position Summary:

This position is responsible for Accounts Receivable analysis, back office functions and analysis of credit card processing, and supervision of clerical staff handling various types of receivables/disputes.

Career Snapshot:

  • Accounts Receivable management of domestic accounts
  • Maintain the accounting relationship with International Representatives, a portion of Tour Operators, and other select accounts
  • Analyze results of data extractions from various internal and external systems and summarize the information in the form of reports capturing credit card activity and fees, outstanding receivables, aging, bad debt, credit agencies status and exposure
  • Provide analytical support for variances
  • Participate in special projects
  • Supervise and coordinate activities of Collection Coordinators engaged in supporting credit card disputes and collection efforts
  • Document procedures, monitor completion of deadlines and communicate with staff pertinent information affecting the department
  • Review and approve time sheets
  • Training and development of staff

Requirements:

  • BA in Business or related field
  • Ability to use PC software for spreadsheet analysis and word processing
  • Working knowledge of AS400 environment and report writing skills
  • Experience with general ledger and relational database software
  • Work experience in accounts receivables and knowledge of back office functions of credit card processing
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business journals, and technical procedures
  • Ability to write reports, presentations, business correspondence and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions and effective interaction with others
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to work with general mathematical concepts to calculate discounts, interest, commissions, percentages
  • Ability to interpret data presented in graphical form
