We are looking for a qualified Sous Chef for Asian Cuisine (m/f) with previously ship experience in a similar position - the ideal candidate needs to have a great expertise and knowledge in the Asian/Japanese Cuisine. The position will be on a great seagoing vessel for a well-known 5***** European Cruise Line with great itineraries throughout the world.

The Sous Chef is a key leader within the shipboard management team. Operating within a functional role in the Galley Department. Working in partnership with the Executive Chef to oversee the day to day operations of all the Galley related areas of the ship. The Sous Chef assists the Executive Chef in the strategic planning and execution of culinary crew and overall guest satisfaction.

Candidate (m/f) must have very good experience in his field and should have proven records in international Top-Hotels or Restaurants in a similar position.

You should be used to a high quality and volume Galley – be stress-resistant, flexible, with good communication skills and you should have the ability to interact with different cultures in a positive and friendly manner.

You must be able and willing to work hands-on and you should have very good USPH knowledge. Fluent English is required - any additional language would be a plus.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
