The individual will have overall responsibility for the continuous improvement of the Thomson Cruise and Flight Only online experience to drive great customer experience and conversion across both the Desktop and Mobile websites. This will be achieved by defining what is developed on the websites, working with stakeholders across the business defining and prioritising the backlog. As the Product Owner within the scrum team the individual will be working closely with the development team, web analytics, SEO, UX, content and other stakeholders to assess the roadmap and understand user behaviour to drive conversion & ROI.At TUI UK & Ireland these websites are key to our growth strategy particularly for our Cruise business and these form part of what is our biggest sales channel with millions of visitors coming to our site and over £2 billion worth of sales being processed through our websites. We need to continuously improve our sites to benefit the online customer experience and to drive conversion.

What you will be doing

As a Product Owner you will be responsible for the continuous improvement & development of the online experience for customers accessing the Thomson Cruise and Flight Only websites. This includes, defining scope for new functionality that should be introduced to the sites to increase engagement, conversion and other web KPI’s. A great part of the role is working with very wide ranging stakeholders to define the prioritisation of the backlog of functionality to be developed by the development team. The Product Owner would be expected to play a leadership role within the Scrum team, work closely with other Wed Product Owners and support the General Manager for Web Experience to help define the long term strategy. The Product Owner will work very closely with our Cruise team to ensure their priorities are reflected in the changes being made to the sites.The Product Owner will work very closely with our User Experience team, Content and IT to design the optimum customer experience that balances technical simplicity and agility with commercially driven UX. Where required the individual will support the identification of potential suppliers, negotiations and solution costing. Work with the SEO team to ensure that all development meets best practice guidelines.The Product Owner should help define and deliver a set of KPI’s that will allow us to measure all aspects of site performance. Ensure we are tracking all necessary interactions and analytics is used to guide decisions made on how to progress our websites. Responsibilities will include ensuring the web operations team & IT ASW team have a robust plan to handle new KPIs and operational changes as a result of changes to the sites.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements
