As a member of the Global Learning and Organizational Development Team, the Learning and Development Consultant is responsible for influencing the career and professional development of our crew members. The position delivers a variety of organizational development interventions along with professional training and development programs. This role conducts needs assessments and creates vessel development plans with onboard Leadership to enhance productivity and growth.

This position serves as a coach, mentor, consultant and ambassador of the enterprise.

Career snapshot: 

  • Responsible for the development and talent management of our crew members
  • Ensures brand standards are consistently exhibited by all crew members
  • Provides professional internal consulting that creates measurable performance solutions and long-term growth and development for all crew members
  • Conducts train-the-trainer sessions with shipboard managers and supervisors in an effort to ensure the effective transfer of job-specific knowledge and skill to crewmembers, and to assist managers and supervisors in maintaining brand operational standards
  • Provides feedback and coaches instructors to improve effectiveness of training methods and delivery of training
  • Works closely with the OD and Crew Manager in support of succession planning, career paths and executive development on board vessels
  • Provides ongoing coaching of high potential BOT graduates from the headquarters session once back onboard their ships
  • Provide psycho metric instruments
  • Ensures the effective training and development of all crew
  • Provides performance management consulting and feedback
  • Accurately identify talent through talent reviews and performance discussions
