Butler - Luxury River Cruise Ship

Dear Candidate.
We have open positions for Concierge / Butlers with a Luxury Cruise Line.

General Responsibilities:

• Meet / Greet guests upon arrival.
• Assisted check-in, escort to the suite. Help with the luggage to the suite. Suite introduction.
• Accompanying guests to Show Lounge, Casino, Dinner and acting as guests`s personal assistant/butler during the cruise.
• Cab Service - Consulting and professional serving food and drinks. Serving of food and drinks in its suites. Coordination of cocktail parties.
• Support the stewardesses with individual arrangements (not cleaning). Observance of cleanliness, safety, environmental and hygiene guidelines (USPH).
• To ensure that assigned pantries and lockers are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Ironing Service, shoeshine, clothes Service, etc.
• Individual arrangements for passengers. Stands for personal questions of passengers available. Maintains current knowledge of all ship’s regular events and special. Arrange contacts for shore excursions. Assists with business services, contacts airlines or hotels to change reservations,  prints or faxes documents etc.
• Acceptance and immediate forwarding / handling of complaints.
• Other responsibilities, as assigned but not limited to the above.

Work Experience Requirements

• Hospitality degree, certification from a recognized Hotel School. Or 3 years related experience (Concierge or Personal Assistant or high profile position). Or previous experience minimum of 2 years in a butler role working on in a 4/5* Hotel.
• Work experience in both housekeeping and food & beverage. Training as restaurant specialist.
  Very good knowledge in serving and kitchen area and Beverage / Oenology.
  Previous experience as a Waiter from high scale hotel/ restaurant is an advantage
• Excellent understanding of social etiquette and formal service protocols.
• Experience in complaint management.
• Computer skills
• Good knowledge of the English language is required. Fluent written and verbal English
