We are looking for an excellent and well experienced Manager Onboard Controlling (m/f) for a 5* European Cruise Line with international passengers and great itineraries throughout the world.

Manager Onboard Controlling Ocean – Switzerland

Function:

Responsible for reviewing all financial processes and procedures related to onboard day-by-day operations, including onboard reconciliation and control, vessel auditing, payroll handling, operations manual preparation and review etc. In addition, Ocean Ops Controller will act as a key partner for the Ops Team Shoreside, analysing financial and operational performance and providing relevant reporting and guidance for improving operational and financial performance.

Key responsibilities:

  • Review, update and implement onboard financial reporting structure in alignment with accounting guidelines
  • Support Chief Purser, Crew Purser and Administrative team onboard with all financial matters, including account settlements, cashbook, reconciliation, payroll, reporting, medical
  • Support month and year end closing by timely completion of required procedures and reports in compliance with deadlines
  • Conduct internal audits onboard the vessels on a regular base
  • Work closely with financial team to investigate and correct operational issues.
  • Develop and implement operational and financial controls to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure business operations are in compliance with company policies and best practices
  • Prepare internal reporting package including operating metrics, financial controls and performance indicators that will help in improving business performance.
  • Assist in preparation and evaluation of annual budgets, including developing of financial models to achieve revenues and cost objectives.
  • Assist Operations Managers in preparation for operation reviews.

Fluent English is required any additional language would be a plus - also required: very good computer skills.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
