Assistant Chief Cook (f/m)

COLUMBIA Shipmanagement Ltd is looking to recruit an Assistant Chief Cook (f/m) for a reputable passenger ship owner.  If you are interested in COLUMBIA and believe you can contribute to our success and our client`s success, you should at least fulfil the following job requirements:

• Culinary academic qualification and relevant subsequent training;
• USPH or HACCP Certification;
• Minimum 3 year experience in a similar position onboard;
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment;
• Strong managerial skills and excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Good command of the English language;
• STCW Certification;

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Assists the Executive Chef in the daily operations of the galley and is responsible for the training and supervision of the section cooks and ensures that all cooks are following the official recipes and efficiently use food products.  Maintains proper sanitization standards according to regulations and company`s instructions in all food production preparation areas and performs any other duties as may be assigned by the Executive Chef.
