Costa Crociere is seeking a talented and energetic Business Analyst to join the Planning & Forecasting Team, our worldwide forecasting center whose core mission is supporting strategic decisions by the top management to reach the profitability needed to sustain a significant ROIC for our shareholders. This team makes a tremendous impact on the Company's long term plan by setting targets for all our revenues' streams, monitoring Company's performance and assessing both risks and opportunities. The person will be responsible for managing the whole process of the planning and budgeting in the company as well as defining the forecasts by means of historical trends analysis, complex performance indicators, bench-mark data and projection methodologies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of commercial Budgets and Forecasts
- Ensuring that processes are followed to maintain clear, timely, accurate, robust and effective Budgeting and Forecasting, reviews weekly reports and derives key take aways and conclusion to define risks and opportunity
- Ensuring that all financial projections and associated assumptions reflect the business through proactive and open communication with functional and commercial teams and their leadership
- Maintaining and developing the Company’s five years plan, ensuring that all financial projections and associated assumptions reflect current strategic business plans
- Delivering high quality quantitive analysis to support own assessments and forecast recommandations
- Respond timely to ad-hoc requests for analysis
- Communication and relationship with key stakeholders in other departments
- Contribute to the successful implementation and use of our own automatic forecast tools
- Contribute to the financial revenue plan/forecast process
Job Requirements
- Master's degree in Economics, Engineering Management, Mathematics/Statistics (or other studies with significant numerical background) with minimum marks of 105
- Data driven approach to the decision making and problem solving combined with sense of business and commercial awareness
- Proficiency in Excel and experience to work with large database, SQL would be a plus
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with strong enterpreunerial attitude
- Confidence under pressure and ability to identify and resolve problems with some degree of autonomy and supervision
- Good knowledge of English (at least B2 level is required), every other languages would be a plus
