Urgent opening for qualified and experienced Hotel Engineer (1st Engineer) for cruise line.

Reporting to Staff Engineer, the Hotel Engineer is responsible for external services. He arranges for the maintenance and repair of all machineries, equipment and systems associated to the various ship services in such way as to obtain correct functioning.

Electrical, hydraulic and conditioning plant and equipment are within his competence.

He directs and trains the personnel carrying out electrical, electronic, plumbing and air conditioning activity. He switches with the Staff Engineer during prolonged maneuvers or when necessary. He keeps the archive of operational or maintenance books, drawings and equipment under his competence updated.

He keeps the records and checks the chlorination of drinking water, the water in distribution and that in the swimming pools and jacuzzis;

He is responsible for the management of work permits relevant to activities outside the engine room.

Required Profile:

• Certificate of Competency: IMO III/2 (First officer or more - no limitation for other than ro-ro vessels)
• Basic safety training + PSCRB + Crowd and crisis courses (V.3 par. 4 - 5 - 6 - 7 - 8)
• Previous Experience: on cruise vessels as a hotel engineer
• Good leadership, senior experience on vessels.
