Our client is a reputable and expanding river cruise line, operating in Europe and Asia.

Salary: €2600 (gross) per month on-board, starting salary.

The Job

• Responsible for the organisation and management of the kitchen area and crew
• Professional and efficient preparation of meals, including crew meals and breakfast buffet
• Accountable for receipt, control and storage of stock and supplies
• Regular interaction with guests in the restaurant
• Responsible for up-keeping cleanliness and hygiene in accordance with HACCP standards
• Must control expenses and ensure adherence to the provided budget

The Candidate

• This position requires a regular commute to the vessel throughout the season, therefore the ideal candidate would preferably be based in Europe
• River cruise ship/small seagoing cruise ship experience preferable but not essential
• Relevant experience in a Chef de Cuisine/Executive Chef role is necessary
• Must speak, read and write English fluently
• The ability to speak other languages, particularly French, is desired
• Computer literate
