AIDA Cruises has the youngest fleet of newly-built ships in the world and distinguishes itself through innovative, cutting-edge technology in the areas of navigation and communications systems, the engine technologies as well as in the hotel operations. The newbuildings measure around 71,100 GRT and generate 24,800 KW in the four main diesel engines. The AIDA fleet is operated according to the highest international quality, environmental and safety standards. The maximum capacity is presently 2500 passengers and 600 crew members.

At the earliest opportunity we are looking for you as a Chief Engineer:

Your chartered course:

• The assignment of all crew members belonging to the engine department and the control and organization of the technical ship operation
• The enforcement of health care, occupational safety and fire protection within the engine department
• The safeguarding of personnel matters of the staff subordinated to him
• The observance of all dates for confirmation or renewal of the ship's class
• The guarantee of the technical preparedness of the main propulsion plant the auxiliary plants and other technical systems as well as the measures for maintenance as planned
• The deliberation of the Master on technical and economic matters, particularly on operation of installations and systems in his sphere of responsibility

Your previous ports of call:

• Master degree or Polytechnical degree of technical ship's operation or similar
• Seafarer's book and a national Certificate of Competency (Marine Engineer Officer)
• You have all the necessary patents and certificates according to STCW 95
• Your English and German language skills are good
• EU-nationality
