We are looking for a Head Butcher who will work onboard our ships. The contract duration will be 5 months for the first embarkation; if interested and with positive performance the candidate will join Company shifts and will have other opportunity to work and grow with Costa.

Job Purpose

The Head Butcher Supply with meat and fish all the “partie” as per chef specifications and following sanitation and HACCP rules. Manage and control the work in the meat and fish preparation areas

Requirements

  • Technical high school or University degree in technical studies;
  • 2+ years supervisory experience on cruise ship or high volume hotel/restaurant
  • 3+ years butchery experience;
  • Strong knowledge of all butchery techniques and of all butchery equipment, tools, and supplies;
  • Hands on attitude;
  • Ability to manage a team and to work in multi-cultural environment;
  • Excellent English.
  • Availability for contracts of 5 months duration.

Work Experience Requirements

All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
