.1 To provide the guest with ship and shore activities by directing the development and implementation of ship and shore programs.
128.50.c Major Areas of Responsibility
.1 Directly responsible for the production of all entertainment activities, including evening entertainment, social events, deck sports, games, arts and crafts, movies, lecturers and religious services
Ensures that entertainment staff has sufficient rehearsals and direction to ensure top quality programming.
Ensures that all passenger requests, inquiries and concerns are handled in a prompt manner.
Monitors shipboard activities and takes corrective actions as required to ensure passenger satisfaction.
Maintains stocks of all necessary entertainment supplies, staff uniforms and re-orders as required.
.2 Overseas embarkation and debarkation activities.
.3 Overseas and creates the Daily Programs including entertainment, social activities and shore excursions.
Communicates daily program to passengers and Cruise Staff on a regular basis
Oversees the preparation of the Daily Program. Ensures that the program includes information about entertainment, social activities and shore excursions.
Includes opening hours, departure times of tours, dispatching points for tour departures and final notice to purchase tickets in Daily Program
Ensures that department heads and key personnel are aware of daily program by communicating Daily Program to them on a regular basis.
.4 Act as Master of Ceremonies for all shows .
.5 Performs cabaret as required (if applicable).
.6 Utilizes leadership skills and motivational techniques in order to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction in the Cruise Staff department
Provides orientation and training.
Conducts employee meetings and counseling sessions.
Determines and communicates standards of performance to employees.
Evaluates employees on a regular basis and sends evaluations to the Hotel Director.
Develops employees to maximize potential and prepares for future promotional opportunities.
