As Lead, Digital Media Producer you will be responsible for overseeing the Video Production team and the function that provides Shore Excursions operational and programming expertise for video materials available to guests via the company's websites, interactive television (ITV), onboard stateroom TV and printed collateral. In addition, you will be responsible for overseeing the video production, editing, research and administrative functions in the media production area.

Career Snapshot:

  • Oversees video production process for Shore Excursions Department (Global Tour Operations). Direct reports produce and edit video clips from raw footage for use on onboard stateroom TV, ITV and websites as sales and informational tools.
  • Provides expertise and makes recommendations on equipment needs and advances in technology.
  • Prioritizes work based on company needs. Makes recommendations on alternative solutions to achieve goals for media production given workload and resources.
  • Obtains quotes for distribution and voiceover work as needed. Works with vendors to minimize costs and streamline process.
  • Manages process for voiceover work to be completed and provides recommendations on talent use.
  • Manages process to translate content and videos into all company approved languages (currently five core languages) and those required by demographics (i.e., simplified Chinese). Process includes obtaining feedback from local and international vendor sales offices.
  • Maintains digital media library of video footage, and ensures easy access by all.
  • Provides video clips in various formats for shipboard use as requested.
  • Maintains tracking logs of all videos distributed.
  • Responsible for various special projects at the request of executive and senior management.


Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast, video and/or ITV systems industry in programming or operations
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in developing or programming content for broadcast, video or ITV systems in the cruise or hospitality environment
  • At least 3 years of experience in lead role and proven experience leading teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equilavent combination of experience and education
  • Experience and in-depth knowledge required in Avid Media Composer systems and Adobe software.
  • Working knowledge of broadcast television, video production, interactive television and non-linear editing.
  • Knowledge of copyright laws relating to radio, music and television.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate in a multicultural environment with all levels of employees and management, both shipboard and shoreside.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and priorities from the office or on location.
  • May be required to travel up to 20% of the time.
