Position Summary:
Primary purpose of the role is to assist with the profitable growth of the Celebrity Vacations product line. This position will help define and implement the commercial strategy to drive the growth and development of the Celebrity Vacations business. This position will involve assembling cruise package holidays with tailor-made vacation itineraries. Keeping your product and brand knowledge up to date, as well as maintaining an in-depth knowledge of the company's destinations will be crucial.
Career Snapshot:
- Build market leading packages and tours, pricing them competitively to offer existing as well as new clients added value and a complete destination immersion experience. The individual should search for cost efficiencies to drive margin growth and Identify opportunities in the market that are not being explored or offered by competitors.
- Build and deliver an increased product range and customer offering - to ensure achievement of optimal yield and volume. Implements department strategy to introduce a diverse cruise and stay/tour product portfolio which will deliver required passenger, revenue and profit targets, maintaining Celebrity Cruises position of market leader within their sector.
- Identify and develop aggressive promotional and tactical pricing opportunities, combining air, hotel, transportation and other elements of the vacation package with our cruise products. Product ranges will be created within each market & this individual must help ensure consistency of brand, service delivery and product quality.
- Present all products with up-sell opportunities including enhanced grades of accommodation, extended number of hotel nights, private transfers, business and first class flight options, a selection of flight departure points/routings (direct or indirect) and destination excursions/experiences.
- Works with destination management specialists to ensure sales teams are fully trained on the destination.
- Ensures land based product reflects the onboard customer experience and expectations.
- Reviews competitor activity on an ongoing basis to understand our competitiveness with your own packaged product and can deliver the sale of the product with proficiency. Analyze destination booking trends and manage consumer offering to drive sales while maximizing profit.
- Develops strong working relationships and synergies between RCL teams across all markets globally, with an acute focus on the priority markets of Celebrity Cruises U.S.A., Canada, U.K. and Australia.
- Develop and maintain effective professional relationships with select destination management companies, ground suppliers, airlines, rail and hotel providers, to secure commercial agreements and drive profitable partnerships resulting in delivery of forecasted sales and contribution plans.
- Works with supplier partners to target select airline routes, hotels and tours to secure financial kick-back or commission overrides incentives. Negotiate flexible terms to limit financial exposure in the event of force majeure.
- Obtain group quotations and commit to secure group space where applicable to reduce net costs and provide a guaranteed offering in unique destinations.

Requirements:
- Three to Five years related experience within the travel/tourism/leisure industry
- Experience with Excel and excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word and PowerPoint required
- Must be able to demonstrate a good understanding of dynamic packaging programs and the expert ability to bundle elements of the vacation together to sell vacations and drive strong margins.
- Strategic understanding of the travel industry and particularly current trends.
- Passion and track record for planning and delivery of excellent customer experience
- Must be self-driven and results-oriented with a positive outlook.
- The ideal candidate will be a creative, innovative, passionate and fast paced individual, with a strong track record in the travel & tourism industry
- Ability to Travel (up to 10%)
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Experience with Sabre, Amadeus or another travel industry solution is preferred.
- Ability to work, interact, and communicate with internal / external customers at all levels - must possess effective verbal and written communication skills, as well as an excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Must be able to work on own initiatives and as part of a team.
- Strong track record as a vacation packaging specialist with broad experience bundling a variety of travel products to create value and drive profitability.
- Project management experience.
- Good understanding of the web and online marketing
