Bar Waiter

Job Description:

For a prestigious 5 star cruise line we are currently looking for a Bar Waiter to join their team onboard their vessels. You are responsible for beverage service and sales in the workstation that is assigned to him/her in the public bar or lounge. • Responsible for promoting and maximising beverage sales.
• Ensure that all beverage stocks are used, stored and accounted for.
• Provide prompt, attentive and courteous service to every guest.
• Strives to always up-sell.
• Recommend and suggest beverages when guests request assistance in selecting them.
• Responsible for the handling of cheques and cash.
• Assist in additional duties around the ship as requested by management. 
• Knowledge of beverage sales and service.
• Knowledge of public health and sanitation regulations.
• At least three years working experience as a bar waiter in a fast pace four or five star hotel/bars catering for an international clientele.
• Basic knowledge of wine service procedures.
• good knowledge of English; any other language is a plus
