Chief Steward/ess for 5* Cruise Line

For a luxury 5* Cruise Line we are looking for a Chief Steward/ess

Duties:

• manage the efficient operation of the housekeeping functions onboard
• training, supervision and inspection of steward/esses to ensure the Company’s high standards of cleanliness and passenger service are maintained
• ensure that all suites are well maintained and are in good repair
• ensure that room service is carried out in a smooth, correct and timely manner, according to company standards
• ensure that correct working practices and personal hygiene standards are observed by all service staff in accordance with Company policy and USPH regulations
• supervise the laundry operation to ensure that all laundry activities are carried out efficiently
• assist the Hotel Manager in preparing annual budgets in your areas of responsibility and ensure that the established budgets are properly administered

Requirements:

• completed training in the hotel sector
• several years of working experience in such a position
• ship experience is a must
• assertiveness
• friendly and open minded
• very good manners
• neat appearance
• fluent in English
