Hiring Requirements:
- Knowledge of satellite communication systems, (C-Band, Inmarsat A, B C, M, and Mini-M’s) Call Router (Mobilecom), Call Accounting.
- Knowledge of communications and satellite infrastructure (Alcatel Hotel Link, C-Band,Inmarsat) preferred.
- General understanding of Federal Regulations regarding Telecommunications.
- Ability to conduct complex LAN and/or WAN trouble shooting diagnostics.
- Completion of formal network administration training is preferred.
- Demonstrated aptitude for the policies and practices involved in the human resources function. Ability to manage the international staff in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing staff as they work. Ability to utilize and administer the disciplinary action process through coaching and counseling to improve performance or terminate employment.
- Demonstrated aptitude for the financial aspects of an IT operation, including the successful identification of expense reduction through cost control. Demonstrated aptitude for the management of headcount within assigned area, as it relates to and supports the business needs of the vessel.
- Very strong communication, problem solving, organizational, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
- Superior customer service, teambuilding and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work positively and cooperatively in a diverse team environment to meet overall established timeframes for the entire IT operation. Ability to communicate tactfully with department heads, coworkers and other CFMs to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
- Advanced computer software skills and internet access required.
