Casino Host/Hostess

Job Description:

The Casino Host position exists for the purpose of identifying preferred players, enrolling them into Casino Royale (our player program ) and is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with guests that encouraging them to sail again with Royal Caribbean International, thereby increasing gaming revenue as a result of his/her actions and abilities. The Casino Host is ultimately responsible for improving the gaming experience with the intent to create loyalty for both individual players and casino groups and is the player's first point of contact.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum hiring, language and physical requirements to perform the job.

Hiring Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years Casino experience.
• Completion of high school or basic education equivalency preferred.
• Proven exceptional customer service skills to interact with guests in a considerate, professional and positive manner by showing concern and actively listening.
• Ability to communicate tactfully with guests, department heads and shipboard employees to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions.
• Ability to operate basic office equipment, including telephones, computers and copy machines. Must be willing to learn and use Business Objects for report reviewing.
• Ability to perform mental arithmetic calculations quickly involving monetary units and calculating odds and percentages.
• Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding gaming rules and regulations.
• Ability to utilize customer service skills by exercising authority and discretion to satisfy guests in a manner consistent with Royal Caribbean International’s Gold Anchor Standards.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
