Position description

Managing the entire galley sector. Responsible for ordering / purchasing of food, cost and budget control of entire galley sector, analysing of costs together with the Hotel Manager. Planning and compiling menus according to the pre-set standards and budgets. Implementation as well as maintenance and improvement of the quality standards. Always available as contact for all those working in the service department, as well as for passengers regarding inquiries, complaints and suggestions in the service. Responsibility for the adherence of all relevant hygiene, safety and environmental regulations in the galley.

Position requirements

• Professional diploma as Cook, preferably Chef de Cuisine’s diploma.
• 2-3 years’ experience in equivalent position.4* Hotels High volume or on board a cruise ship.
• World cuisine knowledge combined with advanced HACCP certificate.
• Computer Skills.
• Good Organisation skills, team management, Interpersonal skills, Problem solver, International exposure preferred Experience staff management.
• Fluent in English, written and spoken. Other languages German will be a plus.

Position salary

Competitive Salary, including accommodation, meals, medical insurance.

Duration of the contract

6 to 9 months contract, renewable.
