Asst. Dining Room Waiters/Waitresses

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced ASSISTANT DINING ROOM WAITERS & WAITRESSES to live a life less ordinary aboard one of our luxurious cruise ships.  Interviews to be held in CHICAGO, SEPTEMBER 21 AND TORONTO, SEPTEMBER 19.

THIS POSITION REQUIRES YOU TO LIVE & WORK ON A SHIP – 6 MONTHS ON / 2 MONTHS OFF

Responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional service for 16-22 guests during each of 2 seatings in the dining room onboard the ship, during morning and midnight buffets and at fast food outlets on Castaway Cay
• Coordinate the ordering, pick-up and delivery of all food and beverage to work station and anticipate the needs of guests to maximize their experience
• Maintain USPH sanitation and cleanliness requirements throughout work area
• Practice up-selling and suggestive selling techniques
• Request proof of identify to verify age of guest before serving alcoholic drinks to guest that appear to be under age and have the confidence to discontinue service to specific guests

Qualifications:

• Should have good knowledge of international wines and cocktail recipes as well as brands of alcohol
• Minimum 2 years professional experience in service industry in a high volume restaurant setting
• Must be at least 21 years of age and fluent in English.
• Must be willing to commit to at least a 6-month contract, 7-day, 70-hour work weeks with limited time off.
