As the Hotel Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of skilled maintenance personnel to repair and maintain plumbing, recreational water features, galley & laundry equipment, in addition to interior décor such as floor & wall coverings, soft goods, and artistic elements of the resort. This role also requires the maintenance of technical systems within both the Hotel and Crew areas, as well as refurbishment of all public and crew spaces to the highest standard. You will be working closely with the Hotel Leadership team and reporting to the Chief Engineer and the Hotel Director.

Career snapshot:

• Accountable for maintaining the design integrity of the vessel as per New build delivery standard
• Meet and exceed compliance related to DNV, ILO, USPH, IPM, IMO, OPP, USDA, and EPA standards
• Audits logs and reports produced by ships service personnel
• Develop and maintain a preventative maintenance plan to ensure equipment and machinery is operating effectively
• In conjunction with the Hotel Director and Refurbishment Project Manager, develop the refurbishment plan for all hotel areas
• Provide support for other Marine and Hotel divisions

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Marine Engineering degree or international equivalent knowledgeable
• Minimum of 5 years in a management position with a minimum of 20 employees on a cruise ship, resort, navy or similar
• Strong knowledge of DNV, ILO, USPH, IPM, IMO, OPP, USDA, and EPA standards
• Strong knowledge of USPH /VSP operational & construction manuals
• Solid financial acumen, and analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to read CAD drawings
• All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable
• Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training

Preferences:

• Watch Keeping or Chief Engineer license in accordance with STCW
• Certified Pool Operator
• AMOS proficient
• Materials and design knowledge
