The Casino Host or Hostess plays an important role in driving incremental casino revenue by ensuring that customers are being cared for and providing courteous, professional, and prompt service. You will develop relationships with every level of gambler, from first-timers to high-profile players. The Casino Host or Hostess is one of the most visible and accessible of all casino employees, and requires an individual that possesses strong business sense and the ability to make difficult decisions or refer them to the Casino Manager.

Career snapshot:

• Welcomes passengers to the casino, describing briefly the services available and clarifies some of the rules and regulations of the casino, while establishing and maintaining a welcoming environment for guests
• Identifies valuable players and informs the Casino Management, Cashiers, and Slot Technicians
• Makes the casino promotion announcements both on the ship"s general PA system and within the casino
• Organizes sports betting, including event research and on board marketing, and casino tournaments (Blackjack, Roulette, Slot Machines, etc.)
• Responsible for keeping the casino advertising in the Diario de Abordo current and updated

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Minimum of one year experience in a casino cash desk or similar capacity (Slot Arcades, Bank Teller, Casino Croupier or Slot Technician etc.)
• Prior customer service related experience
• Intermediate proficiency in the English language in addition to intermediate proficiency in French, Portuguese, and/ or Spanish
• Solid computer skills and working knowledge of various software packages
• All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable
• Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training

Preferences:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and design programs and basic video editing
