As the 3rd Engineer, you will serve as the Junior Watch Keeper and work side by side with the 1st Engineer to assist with all aspects of technical operations and maintenance. Although this is an entry-level position, it is an important role that serves as a great learning opportunity.

Career snapshot:

• Maintain the watch with the Senior Watch keeper
• Maintain and operate vessel equipment as designated by senior personnel in accordance with Royal Caribbean policy and procedures, manufacturer instructions, and under senior personnel guidance

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Graduate of Maritime Academy
• Licensed as Watch keeping Engineer in accordance with the STCW (Regulation III/1) convention issued by a country that has ratified the convention
• Ability to interpret ship's plans and prints, draw engineering plans and prepare job orders
• Ability to resolve problems and work without supervision
• Great communication skills in addition to a strong command of the English language
• All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable
• Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training
