Position Summary:
The Lead, Shipboard HR Functional Architect creates, compiles, and delivers high level/complex system and software developmental documentation packages including, but not limited to narratives, logic diagrams, input and output samples, input preparation instructions, job setup information, technical and functional documentation, etc., from technical project team inputs, system requirements analysis, system design specifications, technical system design, technical procedure development, configuration control requirements, test and training specifications, and programming notes. The Lead Architect will also be responsible for being the liason between the project stakeholders and international technical teams.

- Creates, compiles, and delivers high level/complex system and software developmental documentation packages including, but not limited to narratives, logic diagrams, input and output samples, input preparation instructions, technical and functional documentation, etc., from technical project team inputs, system requirements analysis, system design specifications, technical system design, technical procedure development, configuration control requirements, test and training specifications, and programming notes
- Work with SHRSS leadership to create technology strategy and roadmap
- Collaborates with subject matter experts to better understand their needs from a technical standpoint, and then translates into technical terms (for the development team) in all relevant documentation
- Interprets, refines and applies methods and procedures in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), information technology industry standards and best practices
- Provides centralized project management services such as planning, scheduling, estimating, costing, project accounting and risk assessment
- Initiate projects to develop business improvement, revenue opportunities and efficiency gains, rolling out new tools and modifications directly to the teams and users
- Manages execution at corporate and regional levels
- Support reporting, systems and modeling of current CAM models and strategic decisions and analyses for SHRSS department, impacting the CAM cost of approximately $100 million
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering or directly equivalent, related experience
- Minimum of 10 years work experience within a large corporation or consulting firm
- Requires experience leading or directing the work of others as a senior level team member
- Experience leading and implementing large multimillion dollar ERP scale projects i.e., SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, PeopleSoft
- Strong and demonstrated skills in technical writing, to include exposure to technical documentation and functional documentation in a corporate environment
- Broad knowledge and capabilities among a variety of technical concepts and functional areas
- Extensive knowledge and capabilities among a variety of functional areas not limited to Travel GDS, scheduling, recruiting, sourcing, logistics, imigration, etc
- Ability to translate between business and IT departments
- Proven ability to influence others outside of functional areas at all levels
- Interpersonal and personal effectiveness
- Capable of making independent decisions that impact IT and/or business strategy
- Ability to lead teams and collaborate with all levels of IT and the business

Preferences:
- Masters degree Computer Science and/or Computer Engineering or directly equivalent, related experience
- Experience liasing between business and an international offsite IT department
- Concise technical writing experience with Functional and Design Documentation
- Management experience overseeing a team of 10 or greater
- Background in Coding
