As our Hotel Director, you will be responsible of our exciting, multi units, high-volume shipboard Hotel Operation and oversee its multicultural world-class team. The Hotel Operations onboard the vessel and is accountable for driving and maximizing positive results on all company based targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). The Hotel Operations Department consists of Food & Beverage, Housekeeping, Guest Relations, Finance, Entertainment, IT & Data Systems, Cruise Sales, and all onboard revenue-generating areas.

Career snapshot:

  • Control, plan and coordinates the Hotel Department organization. Directs the function of all Hotel personnel through the management of respective department heads
  • Implements the business and operating budget plans to ensure an on-going basis optimum total guest satisfaction, sales potential and profitability
  • Maintains a high-level of communication with shore side managers involving various auditing and reporting requirements
  • Oversight the planning, execution and product delivery of the entire Hotel experience cycle onboard
  • Accountable for the performance and achievement of company budgetary goals, ultimately creating a superb overall cruise experience to all guests

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration or related field from an accredited college, university or the international equivalent
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as a Senior Leader (GM) in a large luxury hotel or upscale cruise ship environment
  • Accountable for the financial performance of the entire Hotel Department, including the successful implementation of proper forecasting, cost containment, revenue generation procedures and control of inventory levels
  • Establishes and maintains a prominent level of visibility and involvement throughout the vessel and in business, social and governmental communities as appropriate
  • Monitors cash management programs and purchasing practices including inventories and receivables
  • Ensures the highest level of guest satisfaction, by keeping a highly engaged and motivated team providing quality guest services and amenities within corporate standard
  • Ability to speak, read and write English clearly and distinctly with guests and employees
  • Knows and enforce HACCP procedures for sanitation and cleanliness in all areas
  • All international applicants must have the ability to obtain C1/D visa (and other relevant visas) when applicable
  • Must meet all physical requirements, including the ability to participate in emergency life-saving drills and required training

Preferences:

  • Ability to speak, read and write multiple languages is a plus
  • Cruise ship experience and USPH knowledge
