DJ for Luxury Cruise Ship

Job Description:

 We are searching for an experienced Disk Jockey for a 6* Luxury Cruise Ship.

The role involves:

• Plan and program musical play sets of music for a determined timeframe
• Capability of making sound judgment of appropriate material and/or appropriate audible volume
• Proficient use of various forms of professional DJ equipment
• Extensive knowledge of multiple musical genres
• Ability to make basic announcements and or Host special events or formalities 
• Work within prescribed parameters or event themes in regards to music selection
• Maintain and organize music library
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues or working with equipment
• Must have an outgoing and creative personality, an ability to interact with the audience

The role involves providing musical entertainment each night of the cruise, in different venues, including night club, pool deck, lounges as necessary as well as helping with general duties in the Entertainment Department, such as golf, shuffleboard and with the children's club (where necessary).

Candidates should have 18 month's previous experience in a similar role, either onboard a cruise ship or in a large resort.

Star Date is October and the contract is for 6 months.
