Analyst, Senior Business/Sales
Position Summary:
Seasoned HR professional to design and implement shipboard or shoreside training programs and or projects that include needs assessment and diagnosis, leadership and team development, coaching, performance and team interventions. In this role, the incumbent collaborates closely with HR partners, business clients and project team members to ensure alignment and integration of strategies, projects and programs for successful implementation. This role has a heavy focus on Executive Development, Performance for Growth including Talent Reviews and Development plan design. This position reports to the department Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Serves as an internal consultant and partner to management to maximize impact, effectiveness and efficiency of training interventions.
- Partners with management (ship/shore) to design and carry out needs assessments to identify the training needs of shipboard employees.
- Develops & delivers training workshops/curriculum for shipboard or shoreside employees to include management training, leadership development, customer service, onboarding and company values
- Develops delivery strategies for training through the most efficient and effective vehicles (e.g. on-the-job development, internal training, external vendors, e-learning, seminars, experiential learning).
- Measures the effectiveness of training programs through a variety of metrics
- Partner with outsourced training design providers or vendors to negotiate prices, and ensure programs meet our internal needs
- Consult with shoreside or shipboard Managers and HR partners to confirm objectives, programs and policies
- Offer training consultation and support to Shipboard Training & Development
- Managers or shoreside leaders when appropriate that aids them in meeting company, brand or HR objectives
- In partnership with the Shipboard HR Consultant, provide coaching to leaders on performance individual and team development and career planning
- Educate and assist shipboard or shoreside management and employees to implement training initiatives
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree (Masters preferred) in Industrial Psychology, HR/OD or related field
- 8-10 years experience in training & development in a corporate environment global training function strongly preferred, cruise ship experience preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in facilitating management/supervisory skills curriculum
- Experience in a multi-cultural, diverse environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and outstanding platform presentation skills
- Able to work effectively with all levels in the organization, and with external constituents/vendors
- Proven experience in creating leaders guides and participant training materials
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects effectively/efficiently and perform comfortably in a deadline oriented work environment
- Ability to travel 50% or less
- Be proficient in Project Management as needed.
