At Costa Cruises, we believe that motivation and challenges create passionate people, and passion makes the difference. We are currently looking for a Head of Media Strategy to join our Corporate Marketing Department at the Company’s headquarter in Genoa – Italy. 

Job Purpose

To develop and implement a global media communication strategy for the Costa brand. Based on in-depth segmentation, market research and latest knowledge from media environment, helps to select, prioritize and leverage all relevant communication channels and touch points (including print, broadcast and social media) and merges them in a coherent media plan. 

The position reports to the International Marketing Communication Director. 

Key Accountabilities

  • Implementing strategic and tactical media solutions by matching in-depth knowledge of the business environment and the local market challenges, thus supporting countries marketing teams in developing an effective media positioning strategy
  • Managing and facilitating day by day relationships among our media agencies and our marketing directors both at HQ and country level to assist them in the planning and management of media activities
  • Maintaining relationships with senior level management supporting Advertising & Promotions budget optimisation across markets, brand/products and media channels, creating synergies and exploiting opportunities
  • Tracking of business results and ROI of all initiatives online/offline, constantly measuring results, ensuring meeting of objectives and providing support for constant adaptation of media strategies in all countries to grant expected business results 

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 7 years of media planning. Considerable agency experience is required: at least 5 years in online media and an experience in offline planning.
  • Must be fluent in written and spoken English. Other languages will be considered as a plus.
  • Knowledge of demand generation strategies (Social Media & SEO)
  • Solid financial acumen and business expertise
  • Good communication and excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to oversee multiple projects and task simultaneously and ensure deadlines are met
  • Excellent knowledge of market researches, segmentation studies and econometric models
  • Results-oriented, analytical mindset
  • Passion for details
  • Strong work ethic
  • A love for travel and experience in international environments

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
