Manager, Business Development (Pennsylvania Territory)
Position Summary:
Reports to Director, Customer Business Development and is responsible for profitable revenue generation from assigned retail travel agency and incentive accounts within specified geographic territory. Meet or exceed corporate growth goals, including Quarterly and Annual Sailed Revenue, as well as Quarterly Booked Guests. Make sales presentations to small/large audiences to promote entire brand, specific ships and destinations. Create and execute local marketing and promotional programs with assigned accounts within territory
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain relationships with decision-makers at current individual accounts within territory.
- Work with Director to analyze and develop opportunities within territory.
- Develop territory account plans and marketing/promotional strategies for assigned account base
- Responsible for complete knowledge of all Royal Caribbean International & Azamara Club Cruises products, services, and brand representation.
- Analyze sales data in order to present monthly and quarterly business reviews with select accounts across territory
- Work with other Business Development Manager roles handling HQ roll-up accounts to analyze and develop opportunities.
- Gather and communicate reporting on customer business profile (ROI, cost of sale, yield, retention, automation)
- Develop brand champions ensuring customers are kept up to date with the latest information on itineraries, pricing and product enhancements
Qualifications:
- High School graduate required; Bachelor's degree preferred, or combination of education and experience.
- Travel industry background preferred.
- Outside sales experience [1-3 years] strongly preferred.
- Must be aggressive, self-motivated and a self-starter.
- Must have excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational/presentation skills.
- Proven outside sales experience required;
- Must be able to travel and live in assigned territory.
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use advanced business and sales knowledge to make decisions, use sound judgment, negotiate effectively and get results.
- Good organizational and presentation skills.
- Ability to use multiple communication and interaction methods to collaborate
- effectively, get results with others and develop customer champions.
- Ability to display the highest level of personal integrity, take responsibility for personal and organizational results, and proactively develop greater ability.
- Must be proficient in communication skills including (but not limited to) Lotus Notes, Excel, and Powerpoint
