BEAUTY EXPERT

MISSION

Being part of the Shop team, the Beauty Expert is responsible for the quality of service and products in the fragrance and cosmetics shop. He is also responsible for meeting sales and profit objectives in accordance with Company expectations.

RESPONSABILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Achieve/exceed sales goals as outlined by the company;
• Acknowledge and offer a welcoming greeting to the guest as they enter the store;
• Present merchandise with enthusiasm, and assist in the selection by making recommendations to the guest;
• Inform the guest of in-store specials and promotions on fragrance and cosmetic products and their advantages in order to drive sales;
• Demonstrate cosmetics and fragrances and describe the results and benefits to the customer;
• Accurately advise the guest on use/care of the merchandise in order to close the sale.
• Utilize add-on selling, cross-selling, and merchandise upgrading techniques to meet the guest’s needs and maximize sales.
• Maintains thorough knowledge of all fragrance and cosmetics merchandise sold in the shop;
• Accurately receive and check-in merchandise deliveries to the vessel.
• Keep shelves and fixtures organized and fully replenished on a timely and ongoing basis
• Partner with the visual team for merchandise placement and display maintenance.
• Ensure always the cleaning of the shop.

EDUCATION

• High School diploma.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience as Beauty Expert, either ashore or on board;
• Retail or service sales experience required; prefer fragrances or makeup/beauty sales experience; previous experience as makeup artist is considered a plus;
• Proven knowledge of fragrance and cosmetic products;
• Tested and proven geographic and cultural knowledge with the capability of socializing with Guests of all ethnic backgrounds;
• Proficient English-language speaking, reading, and writing skills;
• Multiple language skills as required for certain ship assignments;
• Strong communication and negotiation skills;
• Persuasive Customer Service Skills;
• Strong merchandising skills;
• Team working.
