Account Executive, Senior Product Communications

Position Summary:

The Product Communications Senior Account Executive will support the Manager of the department by being responsible for assisting in the development process and communication coordination of all new and updated onboard products, promotions and services for both shoreside and shipboard communications, specifically resulting in onboard revenue generation.

This position will help to develop and maintain shipboard guest communications and ensure that they are consistent with brand standards. Additionally, this position will assist with supporting brand partnerships and activations. With the ever changing and fast pace environment of operations and the fleet, this role will support the manager with new projects and initiatives that develop throughout the year to increase onboard revenue.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops communication briefs and coordinates communication for all new and existing onboard products, promotions and services, in line with the brand standards and messaging.
  • Collaborate with Casino team on shore-side consumer marketing communication plan, including prospecting, database integration, segmentation, prospect development and post-cruise communication. Liaise between the Onboard Revenue team & Concession Partners to review/approve pre-cruise and onboard marketing collateral / initiatives
  • Take the lead in developing/managing various existing onboard communication mediums such as Daily Newsletter, Directory of Service and Interactive TV content
  • Maintain/update existing menus/signage/collateral for F&B as needed to promote food outlets, offerings and culinary programming.
  • Be responsible for communication of shore-side campaign effectiveness and reporting insights to the Onboard Revenue leadership team (e.g. results of Casino prospecting campaigns)
  • Oversees the overall strategy of pre-cruise communication of onboard revenue initiatives. This position will own the relationship with the direct mail/email and web channels to establish business objectives and define success criteria.
  • Assists with the development, administrative and support of Pre-Cruise Planner products developed to drive onboard revenue.
  • Coordinate onboard marketing tests to increase traffic flow and promotion participation to Revenue centers.
  • Assist Hotel Ops in developing copy deck templates to include consistent fleetwide brand message to deliver guest satisfaction standard strategy
  • Create in-stateroom TV (ITV) Marketing templates
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of brand activations (e.g. South Beach Wine & Food Festival)
  • Supports the work of the DTP team to introduce and coordinate efficiencies and maintain quality
  • Integrate Sales & Marketing initiatives into onboard communications process to achieve consistency, synergy and success in developing and communicating all products.
  • Revise current onboard Marketing SQM and update as needed.
  • Attend weekly Onboard Revenue meetings, and attend weekly meetings with individual business owners to discuss and agree on Marketing initiatives
  • Maintains Hotel Operations calendar of projects for Sales and Marketing reference and planning, as well as maintaining a list of prioritized initiatives to support onboard revenue generation.
  • Create and execute onboard seasonal and holiday marketing initiatives
  • Performs other duties as required.

Financial Responsibilities:

  • Manages assigned budgets and cost containment of projects.
  • Works with Onboard Revenue managers to achieve financial targets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited college or university.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years business, marketing, sales or operations experience.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously. Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

The Senior Account Executive should have a comprehensive understanding of the Celebrity Cruises brand and insight into the competitive landscape. The position is expected to possess a deep understanding of the business segments they represent and to proactively recommend marketing opportunities to drive results.

  • Ability to apply analytical, financial, conceptual and strategic thinking to objectives, proposals and performance.
  • Ability to actively participate in cross-functional teams to define and implement product development and partnership strategies.
  • Strong presentation skills and ability to interact with all departments and levels of management throughout the organization, as well as, with external customers, partners and companies.
  • Ability to understand the business objectives of other companies and to find synergies and compatible goals to develop mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Ability to analyze profitability and ROI for all recommended and current promotions and initiatives.
