Manager, Merchandise

Currently accepting applications for the role of Merchandise Manager on behalf of family orientated cruise line.

Your role will be to lead the merchandise team including training and orientation of new hires. Your primary responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the overseeing of selling of merchandise in fixed and mobile retail locations (speciality merchandise, on-board art programme, duty free, jewellery, etc.). You will assume responsibility for the shop?s smooth and effective operation; determine extended hours to meet Guest needs, proper staffing levels; supervise team and perform sales duties when shops are busy. You will conduct regular inspections and ensure accuracy of inventory management.

Required experience (minimum):

• 5+ years retail experience including at least 3 years at management level
• Previous ship board and duty free experience
• Inventory management background
• Ability to demonstrate a passion and strong, on-going focus towards exceeding Guest satisfaction and sales goals in order to exceed incentive targets which impacts the individual, team and overall department success
• Good computer skills

Average contract rotation: 4 months on / 2 months off
