Position Summary:

The Pricing Specialist supports the Revenue Management department in the technical implementation of price programs and promotions for the Celebrity brand. Prepares ad hoc reports, promotion codes, push reports to support the management of pricing. Works with Revenue Management Product teams , Trade Support, Accounting, and Sales Support areas in the design, development and communication of pricing programs, and ensures pricing is effectively and accurately set up.

Career Snapshot:

• Works in conjunction with Revenue Management domestic and global product teams, responsible for the creation of strategic and tactical price programs & promotions in the AS400 reservation system and Business Rules Management System (BRMS) for global markets and in multiple currencies
• Prepares option code requests and works with Accounting and Trade Support Operations team to create codes in the AS400 system and BRMS
• Prepares push reports and ad hoc reporting for pricing and promotions
• Acts as the primary technical point of contact for pricing programs in the AS 400
• Manages the administration of off -tariff price programs such as cruise certificates, seminar at sea, net and gross rate programs
• Designs, implements and evaluates technical tools that will enable our customers ( i.e., Travel Agents) to have quick access to promotional opportunities
• Proactively identify and address areas for improvement by developing and implementing effective business outcome/process changes that will positively impact our customer
• Prepares new pricing for Deployment process and opens rates in all currencies
• Researches, pilots, implements, and evaluates cost-effective ways to improve the efficiency of entering price programs and promotions in order to better lead the industry in Revenue Management
• Ensures that the feedback and monitoring of all processes are in place for all projects and guarantees the effectiveness and quality of results
• Develops and implements reporting processes and reports that will enable Revenue Management to measure the success of promotional activities as well as in accuracies in pricing
• Supports revenue teams in Pricing & Promotions system

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Extensive knowledge of the AS400
• Strong technical skills including proficiency in Hyperion, and Excel
• Ability to perform simple analysis from hyperion reports and revenue data
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from analysts, and other departments (trade support, Sales, marketing, accounting)
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as APDs, load factor, yield, discounts
• Ability to communicate effectively to analysts, senior analysts, and managers
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
