Position Summary:

Initial point of contact for general HR inquiries. Providing administrative and project support to Human Resources.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Handles basic HR questions,references employee handbook when appropriate and assists inthe interpretation of company policy and procedures. Engages centers of expertise as appropriate.
  • Provides basic PeopleSoft training and responds to all system related inquiries through coaching.  Management PeopleSoft changes, etc.
  • Assists with recruiting-to-hire process.
  • Manages FMLA and Short-Term Disability applications.
  • Responds to HR related questions via HR inbox and/or telephone.
  • Conduct New Hire Orientationworkshops.
  • Initiaties and conducts all exit surveys and interviews.
  • Obtain and analyze HR reports as overtime, headcount management, and consults with HRBP as needed.
  • Maintains Standard Operating Procedures.

Qualifications:

  • 2 -4 Years of experience in human resources.
  • Associate degree required or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • PHR Certification preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment demonstrating a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent Customer Service skills required.
  • Knowledge of basic HR practices.
  • Ability to work and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
  • Persuasive verbal and written communication skills to include strong presentation abilities.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those requirements employees must meet to perform the essential functions of this job with or without reasonable accomodation.  While performing job functions the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, write, review and type reprots; compile data, operate a pc; communicate; listen; and assess information.  The employee may move about the office complex, may travel to other office locations and may lift, push, pull ormove 10 - 15 pounds. Visual requirement includes distant, close and color vision; and ability to adjust focus.
