Position Summary:

The LMS Analyst is responsible for the day to day support of our various LMS sites. This position will provide functional day-to u00bfday operation, maintenance, analysis, technical support and reporting on all LMS related activities. This position will support the implementation and migration activities related the various LMS sites to a centralized global application. This position will research, design and develop on line training tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensures GLOD sites are updated and engaging in the Crew Portals, HR Portal and Navigate.
  • Creates, designs, assigns, and maintains learning plans, assessments, and courses to all users (all brands, enterprise u00bf wide).
  • Generates Learning Management reports for internal and external customers to track relevant metrics
  • Provides detailed reporting as requested (such as curriculum and course completion, assessment scores, learning plan completion, course evaluations)
  • Identifies, tracks, logs and communicates all technical issues related to the shipboard and shoreside LMS and PeopleSoft and follows up until all issues are fully resolved. Troubleshoots when appropriate
  • Partners with appropriate resources to ensure courses are uploaded correctly and promptly
  • Supports other LMS and PeopleSoft tasks as requested (such as creating pre-requisites, evaluation surveys, testing upgrades, uploads and functionaility) in conjunction with Training Coordinator as needed
  • Independently manages relationships with LMS vendors including tasks such as managing enhancement requests, prioritization and escalation of technical issues, managing SLAs.
  • Supports auditing and compliance requirements and reporting through the LMS and PeopleSoft/JDE
  • Evaluates internally developed courses for quality assurance and consults with SMEs and/or business unit manager on recommendations.
  • Supports the research, design, and development of online training in collaboration with Global Learning & Organizational Development (GLOD) team and SMEs.
  • Develops training in various modalities including; online, instructor-led, video, webinars, and simulations.
  • Develops ongoing communication strategy for effective use of online training/LMS resources

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred or relevant work experience
  • 3-5 years implementing and/or administering LMS system (s)
  • 3-5 years designing and/or delivering online training programs

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Proven past experience/expertise working and managing LMS systems
  • Demonstrates experience with e learning design and authoring tools (ie Articulate)
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills to balance multiple tasks and priorities
  • Must possess and practice effective team building and collaborative work methods
  • Excellent computer skills especially in MS Office
  • Ability to design and develop an online training course SCORM compatible
  • Effective presentation skills
  • Ability to interact well with all levels of management and employees
  • Remain current on research literature associated with best practices in adult learning and instructional design techniques and LMS systems
  • Experience with blended learning solutions
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Excellent focus on attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work with system experts both internally and external to RCCL on LMS related matters
  • Creative instructional design skills
