Position Summary:

This position oversees the content and development of the branded shore excursion experiences for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity, Azamara Club Cruises, and others. This position also supports the onboard shore excursions sales teams with a team of two managers and one lead. Specific responsibilities include working with the brands to understand their target markets and developing branded experiences that are exclusive to each brand along with a line of premium experiences to be targeted towards top tiered guests. This position will also provide support for the onboard teams ensuring the sales and marketing strategies onboard are consistent with the essence of the brand voice.

Career Snapshot:

• Manages and oversees two Brand Operations Managers and one Lead who work collaboratively to develop branded and premium tours for Royal Caribbean, Celebrity and Azamara Club Cruises and provide support in the area of sales and marketing for the onboard teams
• Sets goals and directives for the path of the programs given each brand's marketing message, intended sourcing and the destinations visited
• Communicates directly with key personnel in the various International offices to ensure the Shore Excursion product satisfies the multiple demographics within each region and on specific ships
• Works in conjunction with Director, Finance & Admin in setting strategic vision for shoreside department and shipboard operation as it pertains to driving revenue, improving guest satisfaction and delivering the guest port experience
• Works with Deployment in the development of itineraries to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction
• Manages and oversees Operations Manager/Lead who handles all aspects of onboard operations for RCL fleet, including guest satisfaction, onboard revenue generation, and staffing
• Works with the Director, Global Product Development to improve the overall tour program quality through shipboard feedback
• Performs site inspections
• Represents the corporation at selected governmental meetings, association functions, cruise industry events, travel industry conventions, and other meetings as required

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience with an international cruise line or worldwide tour operator (preferably in shore excursion/tour department)
• Excellent knowledge of destinations and tour operations
• Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with guests, international vendors and all levels of employees and management, both shipboard and shoreside
• Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or board of directors

Preferences:

• Master's Degree
• Shipboard experience
