Position Summary:

As the Field Marketing Manager for the DC market, you will own the marketing strategy, media planning, event planning, public relations, partnership marketing and be the voice within marketing for a region. You will use your team collaboration skills and the ability to work independently to reach company and department guidelines and goals. You will possess excellent cultural expertise and understanding for your region in order to translate company's brand messaging into relevant and impactful local results.

Career Snapshot:

• Build and implement the quarterly regional marketing program to deliver agreed marketing and sales objectives in partnership with sales leader
• Develop marketing strategies with regards to customer research, market conditions, and competitor data analyst 
• Recommend media plan and media pacing working with Media Agencies
• Partner with sales team to build a pipeline of lead generating activities through co-marketing campaigns, trade agency activities and consumer events
• Manage PR agency to generate local media coverage; create and implement media-worthy guerrilla marketing programs
• Identify and negotiate partnership marketing opportunities
• Provide input on region specific website content and social media programs
• Be the liaison between regional sales and corporate marketing, ensuring sales team is aware of corporate marketing plans as well as local marketing activities
• Assist sales team to create local sales support materials and presentations beyond corporate marketing materials
• Provide reports or updates on regional marketing efforts

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of previous marketing experience
• Demonstrate advanced ability to implement and execute off of strategic direction
• To successfully adhere to the responsibilities stated, this individual must be prepared to travel at least 50% of the time
• The ability to establish and develop long term relationships with both internal and external customers
• Ability to work in a team environment or independently
• Superior problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent presentation skills and executive presence
• Strong strategic thinking and planning skills including the ability to anticipate trends, situations or changing market conditions and take appropriate action on a timely basis

Preferences:

• Previous experience working in travel or hospitality industry a plus
• Digital Marketing experience preferred
