  • Required:         YOU TO HAVE ALREADY WORKED ON A CRUISE LINER IN A SIMILAR ROLE
  • Salary:             4550 Euros / $6000US / £3660UK paid per month worked (sorry not paid in vacation time)…perhaps with room for manoeuvre too…
  • Rotation:          4 months on and 2 months off rotation
  • Berthing:          Single cabin
  • Required:         Clear medical (funded by you and then claimed back whilst on-board)
  • JD:                   Full JD on application
     

The Superb Role Overview

  1. Accurately conducts environmental checks and inspections ensuring compliance with Fleet Regulations MOP.1.10
  2. Immediately addresses and promptly acts upon all departmental environmental questions and concerns.
  3. Identifies high risk areas and provides clear recommended solutions by using Workplace Risk Assessment Software.
  4. Efficiently and accurately conducts the semi-annual ISO 14001 EMS Management Review.
  5. Always participates in the development and formulation of corporate environmental policies and procedures.
  6. Willingly accompanies Ocean Rangers on Alaska sailings.
  7. Consistently contributes ideas towards the formulation and implementation of short and long-range plans for improving environmental management at all levels.
  8. Ensures shore management is immediately notified when pollution prevention equipment is inoperable for more than 48 hours
  9. Always provides prompt and accurate guidance to Captain when new regulations are introduced.
  10. Effectively builds awareness in ship's company for occupational safety practices. Always promotes the Sail Safe concept and competitions.
  11. Ensures accurate implementation of occupational safety concepts by shipboard personnel.
  12. Constantly monitors all working practices, identifies high risk areas and promptly provides recommended solutions.
  13. Verifies all safe occupational working practices are followed.
  14. Promptly provides advice and support to the HAT.
  15. Always participates in the development and formulation of corporate occupational safety policies and procedures.
  16. Consistently contributes ideas towards the formulation and implementation of short and long-range plans for improving occupational safety management at all levels.
  17. Efficiently and accurately maintains the onboard Chemical Management System, quarantining unapproved chemicals and requesting timely additions to the CMS.
  18. Ensures the ship's permit to work system avoids conflicts and that process is always correctly documented from start to completion.
  19. Consistently conducts occupational safety training.
  20. Guarantees releases and spills are properly documented and immediately notifies the Captain and shoreside operational groups.
  21. Accurately maintains copies of all waste manifests and ensures their submission to shoreside operational groups in a timely fashion.
  22. Promptly and accurately compiles reports and submits data for shoreside operational groups to feed into the
  23. Environmental Performance Report and the Sustainability Report.
  24. Accurately maintains training records as required.
  25. Promptly responds to quarterly data requests for Corporate Environmental Performance Data and Sustainability Reporting.
  26. Monitors the accurate and timely completion of the Oil Record Book, Garbage Record Book and all Sewage and Grey Water logs.
  27. Always confirms compliance with Fleet Regulations and ILO guidelines.
  28. Guarantees complete compliance with port and state health regulations.
  29. Guarantees complete compliance with all other applicable internal, external, and governmental regulations.
  30. Willingly assists internal, external, and corporate HESS auditors in compliance audits.

  • You will have worked in the same position on-board another cruise liner before (if you haven't then sorry we aren't able to help you with a role)
  • You will be currently shore side or coming to the end of your contract on-board (please say if you are shipboard or shore side)
