Position Summary:

This position is responsible for all aspects of wardrobe logistics, maintenance and costumes for Celebrity Productions. Ensuring that wardrobe personnel are scheduled for every cast changeover, fitting shoes, fishnets & falls to all performers and arranging shoe work with cobbler. Arranging costume repairs with the vessels and ensuring proper wardrobe plans are in place onboard each vessel for laundering and care during contracts. Ensures wardrobe room remains stocked and functional at all times.

Responsibilities:

  • Will work with Lead Production & Studio operations to determine the hiring/staffing of all wardrobe personnel for cast changeover processes.
  • Plans the operation of the costume shop facility for all cast changeovers, refurbishments, show clones and fleet wide maintenance.
  • Arranges storage of all costumes for all productions.
  • Arrange wardrobe personnel to go to vessels to repair/maintain all production show costumes, theme events, atmospheric costumes, venue entertainment & pool party costumes.
  • Works with Lead Production & Studio Operations regarding the purchases of fabrics & notions for costume shop adhering to production budget.
  • Tracks inventory of costumes and materials both shipboard and shore-side, and replenishes supplies as needed while adhering to the production budget.
  • Works with Lead Production & Studio Operations regarding the purchases of shoes, fishnets, wigs/falls and & theatrical make-up to hold a manageable stock in the costume shop to pull from for each cast changeover
  • Will fit shoes, fishnets & match falls for all cast members while in rehearsals & will pack all items ensuring they reach the vessel prior to all cast changes.
  • Ensure all cast members have appropriate make-up, eyelashes, under garments in place for contract. Checking show make-up during rehearsal process.
  • Manages inventory of costumes and materials both shipboard and shore-side and orders/restocks supplies on a regular basis.
  • Ensures all vessels have appropriate and up to date costume bibles as well as washing/care instructions for all costumes.
  • Will select and train Cast Wardrobe Keeper for every cast changeover, ensuring all costumes and wardrobe areas onboard are well kept up at all times.
  • Follows Ratings trends for fleet entertainment and uses this data to support vessels to continuously help the vessels improve our entertainment product
  • Communicate with shore-side management on a weekly basis regarding all status of costume show, staffing and shipboard issues.
  • Will support Lead Production & Studio Operations with Website updates/information gathering on a regular basis.
  • Work closely with Manager, Production Operations & Lead Production & Studio Operations on logistics for all new costume creations, cast changeover costume alteration teams.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Financial Responsibilities:

Will work closely with Lead Production & Studio Operations to ensure all wardrobe requests are within approved productions budget.

Qualifications:

  • High School graduate required, plus 2 to 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: theatrical costume/wardrobe, scheduling, or performance
  • Cruise Industry experience both shipboard and shore-side a plus.
  • Excellent communication & administrative skills, highly organized & efficient work ethic is a must.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.
  • Software: working knowledge of personal computers with in a Windows environment with email, Microsoft Word, Excel & PowerPoint, and related printers and equipment.
  • Must have good problem solving skills and ability to manage last minute emergencies in a calm and organized manner.
  • Able to work long hours and weekends when required.

Travel Requirements:

Position will rarely travel, however it should be noted that travel to vessels can & may occur infrequently. Position may be required to travel to other Royal Caribbean Offices located in the Florida area.
