Position Summary:

Responsible for leading complex analyses, developing insights, and delivering solutions that will drive performance improvement across the enterprise.  Areas of focus may include revenue enhancement, cost reduction, enhanced operational efficiency, and performance enhancement relative to competitors.  As an internal consultant to multiple areas of the company, this role will use analytical skills and process improvement talents to complete projects that may be tactical or strategic in nature.

  • Leads initiatives to enhance company performance, functioning as an internal consultant and facilitator
  • Identifies improvement opportunities while displaying creativity, drive, and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving
  • Conducts comprehensive analysis of complex data, with strong experience in gathering actionable insights.  Strong statistical and mathematical skills desired
  • Possesses proven ability to lead teams and to lead significant cross-functional and cross-departmental initiatives
  • Supports the creation and development of the company's Strategic Plan, working with company leaders and stakeholders around the company
  • Develops strategic insights based on internal and external data and business analysis, including but not limited to analysis of markets, customers, and businesses
  • Gathers and distills competitive information and market analysis to create ideas and recommendations that may involve changes to the company's operating practices and market focus
  • Uses financial analysis and other quantitative and qualitative techniques to assess a broad array of business issues and distill them into key items and proposed actions
  • Develops, implements and maintains enterprise wide key performance indicators and communicates across the organization KPI achievements
  • Interfaces effectively with all levels within the organization in a manner that is collaborative and respectful
  • Analyzes global market trends and makes recommendations to management

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required and MBA strongly preferred
  • Minimum of five years of business analytics or consulting experience
  • Project management and facilitation skills are required
  • Strong financial acumen with analytical/quantitative skills, familiarity with one or more statistical/analytical tools and ROI models. Experience with M&A and or equity analysis is a strong plus
  • Revenue management experience highly desired
  • Background or exposure to Lean / Six Sigma or similar discipline strongly preferred.   Change management skills highly desired
  • Outstanding analytical skills (including financial analysis), and business acumen
  • Knowledge of how the company works and how value is generated, as well as in-depth familiarity with key corporate data
  • Outstanding communications skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to senior executives and others
  • Demonstrated ability to drive significant and complex process improvement initiatives
  • Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to digest and synthesize large amounts of data and information into executive-level reports and documents
  • Proven internal or external consulting skills, and experience leading large and complex projects.  Financial modeling skills required
  • Fast learner and able to link diverse sources of information to the cruise business, including ability to handle confidential information and materials with appropriate discretion
  • Knowledge of how value is generated in the cruise industry, as well as in-depth familiarity with key corporate data
  • Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word required
  • Essbase and Hyperion (formerly BRIO) required
  • Proficiency with statistical / analytical tools such as Hyperion Studio, Essbase, SAS, and R
