The primary responsibility is to manage all shipboard sanitation operations including cleaning practices, food handling procedures, training and obtaining inspection satisfaction results. A procedural approach to manage all F&B sanitation cleaning standards to avoid damages on electric appliances. Manage all galley utility staff.

The sanitation supervisor enforces the policies and procedures surrounding the food safety and hygiene. S/He examines all manufacturing equipment to ensure that it works properly and meets all Public Health  and HACCP standards. In instances of violations, s/he develops a plan to correct the situation. Possessing a keen understanding of sanitation laws and maritime regulations, s/he consults with management to address compliance issues and make recommendations to improve processes.

Job Requirements

  • Four-year degree within food science or a related field.
  • Must have professional Public Health  attendance Certification , Knowledge of Chemicals  and Pest Control..Certifications for these last two competences will be preferential.
  • At least 5 years in   Hotels or Cruise Ship Environment.
  • Hands on attitude, knowledgeable, leadership skills, project management competence. Strong knowledge of food and beverage regulations and laws.
  • Excellent English knowledge.
  • Computer literate.

Language Requirements

Good knowledge of the English language is required.
