Automation Support Representative

Position Summary:

As a Technical Support Representative, responsibilities will include: providing technical support via phone, chat, email, or other communication media to resolve customer automation challenges in a professional and prompt manner. Research and communicate technical information and solutions in a professional and friendly manner that establishes, maintains and improves the relationship with the Travel Partner community. Track and monitor the problem to insure a timely resolution. Conduct training via phone, webinar, and in classroom settings. Log customer calls as required. Support trade functions. From time to time, some light travel may be required.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot automation challenges and assist in creating reservations
  • Identify defects in tools, report to I.T., and follow-up on resolution
  • Create Remedy tickets for all calls
  • Answer email support database
  • Provide user acceptance testing prior to launch of new tools
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure smooth communication and launch of tools to trade
  • Provide training upon request from field sales
  • Conduct webinar support sessions
  • Performs other duties as required.



Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma
  • MS Office proficiency
  • AS400 Colonial & External Reservation System
  • Excellent organization & above average communication skills, (written, verbal and listening).

Knowledge and Skills:

  • The ideal candidate will pay attention to detail.
  • Use superior customer-oriented telephone skills to acquire relevant customer information.
  • Present technical information to a non-technical audience. Educate and explain product features and benefits as well as technical support.
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve reported issues in a timely and efficient manner. Open, track and close trouble tickets.
  • Ability to sit at a computer, monitor and telephone headset for extended time.
  • Subject matter knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Operating Systems (Windows XP, products and basic network connectivity) is essential.
