• Role: Crew Manager / Personnel Superintendent / Personnel Officer SHORE SIDE!
• Start date: Very Soon!

• Location: South of the UK

• Salary: Negotiable depending on experience from £30,000
• Bonus: Discretionary!
• Hours: 5 months on and 2 months off

• Required: You to pay for and source a medical, US C1D visa, security certificate at your expense (prices shared on application)
• Reporting to: Working alongside the current Superintendent team until early next year and then reporting to the Operations Manager and Managing Director
• Relocation: Yes, there is support where you can stay in the company apartment for a short time before settling into the area and finding your own pad
• Hours: 0830 - 1730 5 days a week and working some additional weekends as required.
• Holiday: 20 days holiday plus bank holidays
• IT Stuff: You will get a funky laptop and cool mobile
• On call: Yes, this role requires you to be on call every 5th weekend

The Superb Role Overview

• In charge of the Company's crewing and personnel requirements
• Liaising with multinational manning agencies
• Ensuring legal and operational regulations are up to date and adhered to
• Reviewing applications, conducting interviews and validating crew documentation
• Liaising with travel companies and agencies to obtain the most economical methods of transport
• Assisting with crew paperwork and visa applications
• Liaising with crew members on their movements
• Liaising with ships agents reference travel plans, additional documentation, etc.
• Ensuring MLC 2006 procedures are followed
• Producing monthly reports on crew movements
• Ensuring personnel records are kept up to date

YOU the MAGNIFICENT candidate

• You will be currently based in the United Kingdom... or very close by
• Worked in a personnel officer or similar role in a sea-going company
• You might have been a Crew Manager / Officer on-board a cruise liner already
• Understand and savvy in STCW and certificate competencies
• Aware of MLC 2006 / MCA and lots of similar jargon
• Team player and able to work as a stand-alone professional too
• Willing to have and be responsible to be a company ambassador... and on call every 5th weekend
• Skilled with IT talent including Microsoft Office
• Fluent English and additional languages are a massive bonus
• Articulate telephone and communication manner
