Positon Summary:
The Senior Engineer role is responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of Information Technology computer systems and software applications. The Senior Engineer uses advanced technical knowledge and solid functional subject matter expertise to define strategic direction within the specific discipline and to solve complex business problems by means of a systematic and disciplined approach. This position employs software, hardware, and/or communication technologies to accomplish objectives.

• Apply software development methodologies and tools to translate business requirements into software programs
• Leads, directs, and provides technical guidance to development team
• Leads support, development, and maintenance activities within the team
• Documents and modifies software specifications throughout the development life cycle
• Leads tuning and optimization of software applications
• Leads the design, development, and deployment of computer systems and software applications
• Plans, coordinates, and implements complex functional and technical application and system level designs
• Defines and coordinates interdependencies with other disciplines and teams
• Participates in the testing and certification processes
• Identifies and recommends software technologies, tools, and solutions that meet business needs
• Interprets, refines and applies methods and procedures in accordance with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Information Technology industry standards, and best practices as defined by Royal Caribbean Cruises, Ltd. 
  

Requirements:

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technology, or equivalent experience
• 7 -10 years of experience in Software Engineering / Information Technology or related area
• Siebel Loyalty 8.1 or higher application configuration and troubleshooting experience
• Siebel 8.5 tools experience
• Experience with Loyalty program and promotion rule configuration
• Experience with Siebel Loyalty batch and real-time engine
• Siebel Workflows, EAI, eScript, Business Services, Workflow policies, Assignment Manager, Communication, External Business Components
• Siebel Web Services experience (Inbound & Outbound)
• Siebel Marketing 8.1 or higher application configuration and troubleshooting experience
• Experience with Siebel Marketing Campaign / Program management
• Oracle 11g database experience. PL/SQL, stored procedures, & functions 
• Siebel implementation experience with strong knowledge of Siebel configuration and eScripting
• Strong understanding of Siebel Architecture and Siebel Data Model
• HTML 5, CSS3 or higher, Javascript, J Query
• Understanding of relational database concepts
• Knowledge of computer science or engineering technical concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Able to formulate, communicate, and implement technical solutions
• Proven ability to collaborate with technical and functional peers
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team. Lead or direct the work of others 
• Mentor junior staff
• Demonstrate creativity with analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong with methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes within specific area of responsibility
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
