Massage Therapist

With a friendly personality you will help passengers to eliminate their aches and tensions, reduce their stress by relaxing the mind and the body and creating well-being feeling on board our 5* river cruise ship sailing along the European Rivers.

Flexibility:

• Flexibility to work in the housekeeping, frontdesk bar and restaurant department
• You will have to be able to assist in areas outside the assigned area for ship operation purposes such us loading of food and supplies and general cleanliness of the ship.

Tasks/Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the entire spa operation on board responsible for creating the right atmosphere on board
• Maintain area clean at all times
• Check medical history of the passenger
•  Begin the treatment using oils and her/his hands, thumbs, forearm and elbows
•  Client comfort and attention to detail enhances the treatment and client satisfaction
•  Use draping techniques so that only the area being worked on is exposed.
• During the massage session you combine a selection of movements which also includes petrissage, friction and tapotement which is a basis for all massages
• Socialize with guests with sensible attention to body language
• Develop Spa revenues with promotions to achieve sales goals

Requirements:

• At least one year of hotel, ship or prior experience in a comparable position
• Required to hold other qualifications in at least 2 or more of the following; Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Deep tissue, Sports massage, Indian head massage, Lomi Lomi massage, reiki, shiatsu and lymphatic drainage massage
