Sr. Manager, One to One Marketing

Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the strategic leadership of Royal Caribbean's customer engagement, retention, loyalty & casino communications programs. This position will manage a small team to create/redefine, execute and oversee marketing strategy for all retention based initiatives. Key to success will be spearheading our efforts to increase member loyalty (reducing churn), creatively re-engage with former members (win-back and/or repeat purchases), and motivate referrals and word of mouth.

The individual in this position will work in partnership with the Analytics and Database teams in order to create the appropriate customer segmentation and targeting approach as well as the right CRM infrastructure in order to drive true one to one communications that are relevant, highly personalized and channel optimized based on customer needs and preferences.

We're looking for a candidate with hands-on experience in retention marketing (especially through direct mail, e-mail and digital channels), customer segmentation, and product marketing. Passion and strong communication skills are a must the role is less focused on tactical execution and more on proactive leadership of overall retention efforts.

The individual in this role will need to be laser-focused on driving marketing results, by driving constant optimization of lifecycle based programs, by instilling a test & learn culture in the team, and by using state of the art methods and technology to drive results: advanced analytics, segmentation, predictive modeling and post-campaign analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and inspire a team of highly talented individuals (both internal team and agencies) to develop award-winning marketing strategies and programs that are truly targeted and personalized; and most importantly drive incremental revenues
  • Mine channel, campaign and research data to develop insights and drive more profitable direct marketing programs
  • Develop & spearhead the strategy and tactical execution for key retention and loyalty programs: Lifecycle based communications, loyalty and casino communications
  • Work with Analytics team to constantly optimize and improve existing segmentation and develop predictive models that drive higher ROI across key segments and programs.
  • Implement a rigorous testing discipline across the channels scalable A/B testing and drive strategic recommendations on how to extract maximum ROI from retention marketing.
  • Proactively monitor metrics and analytics of campaigns to shed insight on consumer behavior to drive actionable next steps

Financial Responsibilities:

Manage large budget. Drives incremental business of 10% lift vs. control



Qualifications:

  • College degree required, MBA preferred. 7 years of experience in CRM, or One to One marketing.
  • Experience managing customer-focused, multi-channel direct marketing programs, including integrated direct mail and email campaigns.
  • Able to develop strong working relationships with internal peers, agency partners and management and able to influence without authority
  • Ability to develop end-to-end user experiences.
  • Strategic and creative thinker.
  • High analytic aptitude and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strategic decision-making and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Proficiency in understanding marketing analytics, campaign measurement, and customer research.
  • Strong thought leadership and ability to motivate and inspire team-members
  • A true customer advocate, with passionate for customer experience overall
