Position description
To manage your section (e.g. sauce, meat, fish etc.) wwithin all galleys on board which involves buffet preparation and banquets and a la carte style. Maintains the line’s high culinary standard. Position supervised: Demi, Commis de Cuisine (Commis). Realization of guidelines to food-concept in his field of responsibilities. To act and work independently at his posts.
Position requirements
Requirements:
- Certificate from established Hotel School from a recognised culinary institution.
- 2 years experience in equal position on a ship or significant experience within Hotel Industry (5* service).
- International and gastronomic cuisine knowledge, Ala carte Restaurant exposure preferred.
- USPH exposure and certificate.
- Communicational and organizational skills, team player, problem solving and listening skills, International exposure preferred.
- Fluent English mandatory, good level of German will be a plus

Work Experience Requirements
All applicants must have previous experience in working on a Cruise Ship, in a 4/5* Hotel or in an Upscale Restaurant.
